Welcome to the website of Goring Gap Local History Society. Here you will find out about the activities of the Society and how to join, along with information on the history of the area.
We hold meetings most months, usually on the third Monday of the month in the afternoon.

In the morning there will be two talks, and in the afternoon there will be an Exhibition and a film show. These are open to non-members. Se the Events page for more details. The Party in the evening is for members only. Please reply to the invitation you should have received.

Our next meeting is on Monday 18 May at 2.30pm, when Liz Woolley will be giving a talk on Dream Palaces: A History of the Ultimate Picture Palace and early cinema in Oxford
Please note this is a change to what is printed on your membership card, as the speaker we had booked had to drop out due to a funeral. We are grateful to Liz Woolley for stepping in at short notice.
