The 2025 Journal has now been published. This contains, among other things, an article by Alan Winchcomb about the history of shops in Goring. Did you know that Goring once had a branch of the International Stores and also of WH Smith? Janet Hurst has written an article about places of meeting in Goring and Streatley. Surprisingly, before the advent of the railway, there were very few of these.
If you as a member do not yet have your copy, please contact Janet Hurst.
Our next meeting is on Monday 16 February at 2.30pm, when Sue Ellis will give a talk entitled Not all Beer and Skittles.
